After maybe a week and a half, the small black pupua shed their final time and become a beautiful looking light green caterpillar with yellow circles going around its entire body. They will remain this way for up to 2 weeks while they continue to constantly eat 24 hours a day until they have reached their final stage, next, they will position themselves on the under side of the sticks and begin to form their protective shell "chrysalis".
