Even though they are very similar in physical appearance, and even their names Orange lilies have trumpet-shaped flowers that face upwards, while orange daylilies have star-shaped flowers that can be slightly ruffled. Also, Orange lilies grow from bulbs, while orange daylilies grow from thickened roots that spread out like a fan.
